I started this project for a few reasons : I live with 3 minutes of the shore of Edinburgh, so it's where I can easily get out and make images, most images you will see of Edinburgh of the city centre (as a vistitor, you would be forgiven if you didn't realise Edinburgh was a coastal city at all) and finally, because I quite like to document where I live.

The Edinburgh shore is a mixture of cafes, bars, beaches, harbours and hard industrial zones. It's loved by many at the weekends when visiting Portobello beach and ignored by all just two miles east near the Seafield water treatment plant.

As with most of Edinburgh, the shore, where I live, is a coastline of contrasts.
